Costuming

The costuming for my (only) character is going to be a standard work outfit, since my character is coming home from work, I feel that it's the most obvious option. He is going to be wearing a button up- collared shirt, dress pants (maybe khaki or black colored, depending on what's available/what is decided), dress shoes, and several accessories to make it more clear that he was working. I will try and find stuff such as a watch, a briefcase, or maybe even a tie (probably not though). His hair will also be brushed back, or to the side (TBD), to show professionalism.

The collared-button up shirt is going to be tucked in, and the pants will be secured by a belt. I don't think the white socks he will be wearing are going to be visible, but it will depend on the length of the pants that me and my brother will go with. The sleeves of the shirt will not be pulled back like in the photos below, and will remain at full length (short enough to cover the watch though) Also, the buttons won't be done all the way and I want to make sure no part of the outfit is 'perfect' in order to touch on the anguish of the character.

I think what this adds to the character is it shows the stale cycle that the man is stuck in. I want his outfit to represent a standard 9-5 office job that the character hates and just want to get through each day. By choosing a basic outfit that is common for jobs like that, I hope I can communicate that to the viewer. The outfit also adds to the simplicity I want to capture in the video since the clothes are simple in itself. (bottom right image is for hair reference).
