Five Video Shots
Today, I took 5 videos to help me learn and get familiar with different types of shots. The shots I attempted to go for were: establishing shot, long shot, follow shot, point of view, and aerial.
POV Shot:
In this shot, I was trying to capture me walking towards a door and stepping outside. Recording this shot was a weird experience as I had to figure out how to position the camera so it is able to show my hands. In the end, I resorted to setting the camera on a clip.
Establishing Shot:
For the establishing shot, it was relatively easy to record. I wanted to capture the terrain of the school and I think I managed to do just that.
Follow Shot:
For the follow shot, I wanted to do a small clip of the journey of an ant. I captured this by using my camera and keeping the focus on the ant the whole time until I decided to end the video.
Overhead Shot:
For this shot, I wanted to achieve the feeling of looking over a ledge. I recorded this by leaning my phone over it and trying to capture the way I usually look over a ledge, through a camera, if that makes any sort of absolute sense.
Long Shot:
For this shot, I tried to capture the scenery in a wider angle then I did the establishing shot. I did this by using the 0.5 camera setting on my phone then panning over the background.
